For more than 275 years, Congregation Mickve Israel has been a place of worship for members of the Jewish faith to worship in Savannah, Georgia.  The history of this congregation dates back to the very year of Savannah's founding in 1733 when 42 Jews traveled from London to the colonial shores of North America.

This synagogue is the only one in the United States with Gothic architecture.   Located right in Savannah's beautiful Historic District, the synagogue does offer tours to the public.
