St. Patrick - Patron Saint of Ireland Print E-mail

St. Patrick's is a celebrated Saint in the Catholic Church.   The man is celebrated for converting the pagan worshipping Irish to Christianity more than 1700 years ago.   

It's a little known fact that Savannah was to have it's own "St Patrick's Cathedral" modeled after the famous New York Catherdral.   But a ship carrying supplies to Savannah was bombed in World War II and the project never moved forward.
