Business Continues Investing in Savannah

Tax free initiatives and fee reductions are attracting more businesses to Savannah, Georgia.

According to the Savannah Economic Development Authority, "The City of Savannah and Chatham County are consciously addressing the needs and concerns of business from creating business-friendly tax incentives and fee reductions to developing a one-stop permitting process. Even further, Savannah/Chatham County taxpayers have been making the investments necessary to insure this bright future. Local taxpayers have voted to tax themselves for transportation, infrastructure and quality of life improvements."

Savannah has a remarkable balance of diversity of trades and industries. In the manufacturing arena, no one industry predominates. There are over 45 companies employing 100 or more people. Among these are 22 Fortune 500 companies and 25 international companies. Also, some of Savannah's major employers have their corporate headquarters here.
