Big Duke Alarm Bell

The Big Duke Alarm Bell was first built more than 100 years ago, back in 1872. It's located in Savannah Georgia in the middle of Oglethorpe Avenue just west of Abercorn Street, near the Savannah Fire Department Headquarters.

It's first use was to be a bell to warn of fire in Savannah but later become a general alarm bell. It became a memorial to all firefights in 1985.
