Hussars Memorial
This monumnet is, in fact, an artifact from the Siege of Savannah. It's an actual British Cannon strapped to a concrete block. Built in 1960, this Savannah Georgia monument is located in Emmet Park.
The name "Hussars" comes from the Georgia Hussars, which was a troop of mounted rangers that protected the early Savannah colony. Georgia's founder, James Edward Oglethorpe actually established the Hussars himself.
