Wright Square
Wright Square is one of the original Savannah squares, laid out in 1733 by James Edward Oglethorpe.
Wright Square was first called Percival Square, but the name was changed to honor James Wright, who was Georgia's last royal governor.
Famous buildings and landmarks on this square include the Courthouse Building, The Lutheran Church of the Ascension, the US Post Office and the burial site of Tomochichi, who was laid to rest in this square in 1739.
